The Larimer Alive Festival returns for its annual event on Saturday, July 27 from noon to 6 p.m. This family-fun festival includes live music, games, and activities for kids and vendors throughout the day.
DeAnna Davis has been vice-chair of the Larimer Consensus Group for the past three years, but her involvement with the group began in 2012.
Davis says she is excited to, “bring the community together in a positive way.”
“A lot of time our communities are viewed in a negative way, especially when it comes to the press. Something positive is going on, it’s very self-encumbered. But if something negative is going on, it’s always covered.”
Davis says this year’s festival has great headline performers including the Bill Henry Band and DJ Howie. On top of that, PNC Bank is bringing its awareness truck, Duquesne Light is coming to do blood pressure screenings and there will be plenty of fun activities for kids.
“I love organizing and bringing people together,” Davis said. “I think just bringing people together on a happy note.”
