Beginning August 7, Day Bracey, standup comic and co-host of the popular Drinking Partners Podcast, will begin covering Pittsburgh’s craft-beer scene for the Pittsburgh Current.

His new bi-monthly column, “Day Drinking,” will appear in the Current’s print and online editions. Bracey, a craft beer aficionado/expert/consumer, is also one of the co-founders of next month’s “Fresh Fest,” the nation’s first festival to promote black beer culture.

“I’m very excited to be a part of the free-press revolution here in Pittsburgh,” Bracey says. “I’m still in awe of the opportunity and humbled by it. I look forward to sharing insights, laughs, & updates from our ever-growing craft community!”

“Aside from being one of this city’s funniest stand-ups, Day knows a hell of a lot about the craft beer scene both locally and nationally,” said Current Publisher/Editor Charlie Deitch. “Day is going to bring a fresh perspective to this city’s food and beverage coverage and we’re pretty excited to have him as part of our Independent, reader-focused publication.”

The Pittsburgh Current is an online and bimonthly print alternative news company produced in the heart of Beechview.
