If you’re like me and Easter just doesn’t appeal to you but you’d still like to get out of the house and enjoy Spring Break, I have the perfect list for you. With so many unique events going on this weekend (including a Cat Video Festival!), Earth Day celebrations and warm temperatures, there’s sure to be something here for the whole family! In no particular order, here is what I found for yinz guys:
Pittsburgh Earth Day Food Truck Festival

Come hungry to the Pittsburgh Food Truck Fest! Located on Smithfield Street across from the Oliver Building, Smithfield street will be lined with food trucks providing local, sustainable, earth friendly cuisine all weekend to celebrate Earth Day! You can expect to find the following vendors: BRGR, Evil Swine BBQ, Oh My Grill, PGH Halal Food, Sugar and Spice, Burgh Bites, Bulldawgs, Cool Beans, Fry Master Truck, Halal Food Truck, Hoshi & Hoshi Too and The Wok of Life.
I can already smell the falafel fryin!

This has got to be one of the coolest events the Science Center does. This is a guided tour of the galaxy! If its a clear night they will even take you to the observatory. This is a PERFECT date night idea. Ready for the coolest part? If you B.Y.O.T (bring your own telescope) you can get in for free! The cost for nonmembers is 4 dollars members get in for 2 bucks!

Stop by Great Lakes Brewing Company’s tent in Market Square to pick up a Pub Crawl Passport! To complete this unique crawl, participants must go to each of the seven participating bars listed in the passport between 1PM to 5PM, have a beer there (choose from a multitude of Great Lakes beers!), and get their individual passports stamped by the bar staff as proof.
Once completed, participants will return to the Great Lakes tent and show their stamped passport. For every five (5) completed passports received, Great Lakes will plant a tree!
What a wild and boozy way to nature! It’s what Mother Earth would want.

Seeing these curious creatures on our giant screen will make your heart explode from cuteness overload.
