Any TV show worth its tinsel has to have a holiday special, and HughShows is no exception. On Sunday, Dec. 2, join Hugh Twyman at the Carnegie Library in Carnegie for a screening of HughShows Holiday 2018.
The pre-taped special features a diverse lineup of 17 seasonal tunes, as musical director Nathan Zoob and the house band backs an array of local vocalists including Andre Costello (“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christimas”), Gene Stovell (This Christmas), SPISH (“Baby Santa” … basically “Santa Baby” but, you know, from the perspective of an actual … baby … Santa Claus),” and Sierra Sellers (“Silver and Gold”). Other notable tracks include Arlo Aldo performing Maoz Tzur, Just Fern with “Christmas Wrapping,” and Molly Alphabet with an original song, “Christmas in July.”
Of course, there’s much more than that, so show up ready to soak up the festive vibes. And don’t miss out on the raffle, a.k.a. your chance to win studio time, a main stage slot at Deutschtown Music Festival, and more.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, and include a companion soundtrack courtesy of Misra Records. Doors are at 5 p.m., screening begins at 6. 300 Beechwood Ave., Carnegie. hughshowsredux.blogspot.com
