You’ve heard of Christmas in July, but do you know about Thanksgiving in April?

If you’re all about turkey and gravy, Mad Mex is giving you something to be thankful for this spring. The regional chain known for its big burritos and Big Azz Margaritas, brings back the Gobblerito for one day only on April 23.

For the past few years, Mad Mex has been bringing back this Thanksgiving-in-a-tortilla dish for one Tuesday each April. For Gobblerito fanatics, it’s the only chance to get one until they’re back at Mad Mex in late Sept. And they’ll be gone again on Nov. 27.

If you’ve never managed to get your hands on a Gobblerito in it’s usual season, the Mad Mex website describes it as a “complete Thanksgiving bundle of juicy, house-roasted turkey, creamy black bean mashed potatoes, rich bread stuffing and buttery corn, all wrapped in a tortilla and drenched in gravy.” You’ll even get jellied cranberry sauce on the side.

To wash it all down, the autumnal Apple Cider Margarita will be at Mad Mex on April 23 as well. Those who plan to participate in the Gobblerito festivities should expect the restaurant to be busier than usual.
